Congratulations to Chris Whitney's team "Stupid Sexy Flanders" on winning the tournament, and the coveted Bradford Franklin Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence !!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with making LollapaLUDA 2010 a success!  With your help, we raised over $1,300 to support breast cancer research!

Details

LollapaLUDA is a co-ed tournament, for everyone over the age of 16, regardless of skill level, experience, or athletic ability.  This is for a good cause, and we're here to have fun!

Beneficiary:
  • All proceeds from registration fees and profits from jersey sales will go to Liz's Legacy / The Eppley Cancer Center

Basic Info:
  • Fields are at UNL East Campus - see map below
  • $20 registration fee, all of which goes to charity
  • Day-of registration will be available
  • Bring both a white and a dark shirt, cleats or athletic shoes, and a water bottle
  • Event jerseys will be available for sale at $25 each, profits go to charity
  • A raffle will take place throughout the day, prizes including discs, LUDA jerseys, and other sweet stuff
  • Raffle tickets can be purchased for $1, with all proceeds going to charity
  • Party will start at 9:00pm at Knickerbockers (901 O St, Lincoln) - see map below
  • For out-of-towners: LUDA will try to find volunteers to offer showers and lodging

What you get for registering:
  • Four to six games of organized, high-spirited Ultimate
  • One complimentary raffle ticket
  • Bagels, banana, & water throughout the day
  • Sweet fields to play on
  • Prizes for the championship team
  • Free Chipotle after the tournament
  • Sweet party that evening

Schedule / Format:
  • Sign-in / Registration is from 8:00am - 8:30am
  • Teams will be picked and announced by 8:45am
  • Game play begins at 9:00am
  • Games will be played 7 v. 7
  • Games will be played "Round Robin" style, with a championship game at the end between the two teams with the best records.  In case of a tie, point differential will determine which teams advance to the final. 

Party Info:
  • Venue: Knickerbockers - 901 O St, Lincoln (see map below)
  • Party starts between 8:30pm & 9:00pm, lasts all night
  • Free entry for all tourney participants, but open to the general public
  • $3 cover for all other guests, all of which is donated to the charity
  • Ages 18+ party, but minors are welcome with the accompaniment of a parent/guardian
  • Music provided by Dj Blac & Rusty "Polka" Cornwallis
